Here is my second set of photos. First off, anyone who knows me understands that I am a big fan of UVM Catamounts Basketball. While the Catamounts opened up there America East Conference Schedule stumbling out of the gates, they have quickly turned it around and had won four straight coming into Sunday's match-up with longtime rival New Hampshire. While the Catamounts have had trouble selling out their games this year (for reasons unbeknownced to me) that was not the case on Sunday due to the return of Burlington's own Tyrone Conley. As half of the crowd was excited to see Conley return to Burlington and have a big game, the other half eagerly awaited a thunderous dunk by Marqus Blakely. However, both were disappointed in the first half because both players found themselves in foul trouble. Overall, the game had many exciting plays throughout as the Catamounts would win their fifth straight, romping the rival UNH Wildcats 72-56. Photo ops of an Evan Fjeld breakaway dunk, a Marqus Blakely Alley-Oop, and a variety of bench celebrations from UVM runs were however not what interested me most when photographing this game. This set of photos of the week come from the frustrations of UNH coach Bill Herrion. While the Catamounts overwhelmed the Wildcats, Herrion had no answers for UVM's variety of offensive weapons and crippling full court press. Herrion's frustrations were seen in the following set of photos after he was in disbelief over a foul call that sent the Catamounts to the line and extended their lead. Enjoy!
