Photos of the Week - March 30, 2009

Spring is Vermont is finally here! With the arrival of spring comes my favorite thing which I got a preview to earlier in Toronto, which is baseball. However, I do recognize that there are other sports being played during this time. I am happy to be doing some photography for Saint Michaels College during the spring season and was able to attend and photograph their first home event of the spring with Men's Tennis taking on Stonehill who is in first in the NE-10. Unfortunately, I was stuck behind a fence which made it hard to get good shots during the match. However, there were many successes. For this weeks photo of the week, you see SMC's number one trying his hardest even though himself and the rest of the team was losing. Unfortunately, the Purple Knights lost 9-0. Here it is:

Photos of the Week - March 23, 2009

While recently up in Toronto, I was able to visit the tallest tower in the world, the CN Tower. Unfortunately, during the 5 days that I was there, not once was there a day when it didn't rain. Due to this, the view from atop the Tower was not very exciting as there was little visibility and poor photos to be taken. However, nighttime by the CN Tower is pretty nice as they light up the center of the tower with different color lights. These photos took many takes to perfect as I did not have a tripod to steady my hand through the night shot. However, for conscious hand holding they don't look too bad. These are my photos of the week!

Photos of the Week - March 9, 2009 - Set 2

This second set of photos is my favorite thus far since I have been posting to this blog. Taking a step back and looking at the assembly of the players compiled for Team USA is quite amazing. The talent that Team USA has is better than that of my fantasy team. In this set, you will see the players celebrating at different points of the game during their 15-6 victory over Team Venezuela.

Photos of the Week - March 9, 2009 - Set 1

The first set shows that there can be agreement amongst Red Sox and Yankees. Throughout the first two days of the World Baseball Classic there were many fans from different teams. According to the crowd everyone "sucked" according to who you were rooting for. While the fans may have these feelings of hate stemming from their respective teams, it's good to know that the players can get along. This first set has a series of pictures of Red Sox 2nd Basemen Dustin Pedroia and Yankees Shortstop Derek Jeter getting along quite nicely. The two seemed to be enjoying themselves having a good time playing together.

Photos of the Week - March 2, 2009 - Set 2

Here is my second set of photos. I left the best for last. I would say all of these animals look either confused or angry. These were all taken at the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, RI.

Photos of the Week - March 2, 2009 - Set 1

Here is the first set. This comes from formerly #1 ranked Pittsburgh's upset loss against Providence. These photos did not come out that great, but I liked the scene of thousands of people storming the court.
